We are Aquafleur International BV and have been growing top-quality aquarium plants for over 35 years. Our plants are delivered to retail chains throughout Europe from our own distribution centre. Aquafleur is part of the Aquatic Wholesale Group, a fast-growing international group of companies that serves the market with all products for the aquarium, pond and terrarium.
In our 20,000 m2 nursery, Aquafleur uses new techniques to cultivate the many species of aquarium plants in the right conditions. In the coming years, we will continue to expand and modernise our nursery and to that end we would like to strengthen our team with a horticulturist – grower.

In this role you will be responsible for the nursery and the purchase of plant material and you will work closely with the ‘sales, personnel and production manager’ and the ‘technical manager’. Together with them you will form the management team of Aquafleur and report to the management of Aquatic Wholesale Group.
Required profile:
- An enthusiastic candidate who can work independently and goal-orientated manner.
- Relevant education in horticulture at MBO or HBO level.
- Experience as a grower in greenhouse horticulture.
- Knowledge of and experience with crop protection, preferably in possession of a spraying licence.
- Good command of the Dutch and English language.
- A hands-on mentality, independent, accurate and able to set priorities well.
- Willing to work weekend shifts and be available in the evenings in case of an alarm.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
