We are looking for an Operations Manager for Aquafleur
We are Aquafleur, a people-oriented and dynamic company in the aquarium ornamental horticulture sector, based in Maasland. For more than 30 years, we have proudly cultivated and supplied over 120 different species of aquarium plants to customers throughout Europe. In our modern nursery of 2.3 hectares, around 60 colleagues work together every day on quality, flexibility, and growth. No two days are the same with us. For the overall management of our production and customer order processing, we are looking for an Operations Manager.
What will you do?
As Operations Manager, you are ultimately responsible for all production and customer order processes within Aquafleur. Together with the management team (3 people), you manage the daily activities in the greenhouse, shed, and dispatch/packing department.
You:
- maintain an overview of all processes
- create daily and weekly schedules
- allocate available labor efficiently
- align personnel deployment with sales orders and day trading
- maintain direct contact with our most important customers at order level
- In the greenhouse, a team of growers is responsible for the daily cultivation activities.
- you ensure the coherence between cultivation, production, and delivery.
In addition, you are responsible for:
- all administration within the company
- collecting and analyzing data from the various processes
- adjusting operations where necessary
- You are part of the management team and actively contribute ideas regarding policy and the further development of our organization.
We are looking for a colleague who:
- has experience with management in a production environment
- can oversee, connect, and improve processes
- is a point of contact for everyone and has strong communication skills
- is a true team player and go-getter, with attention for people
- has commercial insight and a good feel for customers
- is computer-literate and enjoys working with figures
- is willing to work a weekend shift once every 4 weeks
- is proficient in spoken and written English; German is an advantage
- has vocational education+ working and thinking level.
