As an Ornamental Fish Veterinarian within the companies of Aquatic Wholesale Group, you’ll have a unique opportunity to play a key role in our team, supporting our clients with your expertise.
Your role as a Veterinarian with Affinity for Ornamental Fish:
After internal training, you’ll take over from our current veterinarian, who is retiring, to provide advice and guidance within our fish farm and to clients. You’ll be ready for a variety of tasks, including offering professional advice and conducting research. Supporting the production of medications will also be part of your responsibilities. You’ll work across various locations: in Westland, where our AquaFarm fish farm is located, at our Aqua Campus headquarters in Breda, and at our production facility Colombo in Breda. Therefore, you should reside in Brabant or the southern Netherlands for manageable travel distances to Westland or Breda, or be willing to relocate to the area.
Experience is not required; we also invite newly graduated, eager-to-learn veterinarians to apply for this position. Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Advising: You provide advice and guidance on the care of ornamental fish (both tropical and cold-water).
- Diagnostics: You conduct diagnostic research on fish diseases and health, optimizing care practices.
- Research: You work alongside our R&D team to develop new products and ideas.
- Medication Production: You participate in the production and quality control of animal medications for ornamental fish.
- Customer Advice and Service: You advise clients on our products and collaborate with account managers.

You are armed with the following skills:
- You have completed veterinary training, with an affinity or interest in specializing in ornamental fish.
- Experience or an interest in conducting research and providing advice within animal health care is a plus.
- Proficient in Dutch, both spoken and written; knowledge of English is advantageous.
